Sunday morning I had planned to meet up with some of the Moreton Bay Patriots at 7am to go on this ride at Ipswich. By the time I met up with the boys the fingers had gone past frozen to the point of pain. Damn I've got to get some good gloves. Once we got to Ipswich I couldn't believe how many people had turned up for this ride. There had to be around 400 people. The police escorted this ride which kept everyone together to Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson. At the start of the ride there was free coffee and donuts for everybody and considering how cold it was it was much appreciated. It was a good ride from Ipswich to Springwood to the new Harley Davidson store. Once we arrived there for a gold coin donation you could have a hamburger and a can of drink. If you haven't checked this new Harley Davidson store out do yourself a favour and head out to Gasoline Alley. This was one very organised ride. Had a great day.'.

This is the first time I had been on the Brisbane Patriots Poker Run so I was looking forward to it.On Saturday morning I headed off to the clubhouse at Narangba. By the time I got there, there was about fifty bikes there. Went and got a cuppa as I was still waking up and watched another thirty odd bikes rock in.When it came time to leave I headed out the front to take some photos. It would of been to about close to a hundred bikes then. The ride went out to Torbul and back on all the back roads which was great. It was a beautiful day which even made it better. When we got back the ladies had made an unbelieveable feed for everybody. It was good to meet some members of this website I hadn't met before. A big thanks to the Patriots for their hospitality and letting me take photos of the day for us to enjoy.
PS You guys have a great clubhouse Cheers Rossy |

I would just like to thank Janette who worked for Queensland K9 security at Bike Week from 01 to 09. She contacted me to share her photos that she took for over all those years. Janette has given me permission to put on this website and to share with people that love to ride. There is a lot of photos so it will take me a couple of weeks to get them all on. Hope you all enjoy them and once again thank you Janette for all the great photos.
Regards and Respect Rossy

On Sunday the MRA held there first anual blanket run. We all met at Lord Stanely Hotel and by the time i got to the hotel there was already 80 bikes there. It was great to catch up with people I havent seen for awhile and met lots of new faces. The idea of the ride was that everyone donates a blanket as winter approaches there are some people doing it hard and will feel the cold this winter. So it was great to see so many bikers there. After a Quick speach from the president of the MRA, we all rode down to Wynum to the foreshore. Next year I hope to see more people on this ride for such a great cause. And was also great to see scooters, trikes and bikes all riding through the city.
I would just like to thank the MRA, Renes Ryders and the Salvation Army. Cheers Rossy

The Ulysses Club, Mt Lindesay's Branch's 5th Annual Visit to St Paul de Chartres.
St Paul de Chartres is an aged care facility and Retirement Village at which we make an annual visits for the old folks to enjoy rides on our bikes & trikes. We also host a BBQ lunch for them on the day & donate several thousand $$$'s each year to aid in their Diversional Therapy. Our visits have had a profound effect on so many of the residents over the years, bringing back fond memories for the them. It has always been a joy for our members to see and hear stories from them. Especially meaningful to us, are those tales of their times as children when their fathers returned from the wars, so often remembering their days when motorcycling was the only form of transport affordable to them. We remember the first visit made, when the residents were a little hesitant to go for a ride, one dear old lady opted to be the first to mount up on a bike. After she returned from her ride, with the biggest smile on her face, she proudly proclaimed that as of now everyone could call her "A Pillion *****." Needless to say, even our members were a little surprised at her statement. However it wasn't long before there was a line up of residents and staff for rides. And so the story of our annual visits continue to this day. If your club, branch or group hasn't ever been on one of these excursions, do yourselves a huge favour and consider organizing a run to one of your local facilities, we can assure you, you won't regret it.
