In the last few day i've had a heaps of requesst from people on facebook asking me to "Bring Back Real bikers" Started me thinking what is a real biker?
is it some one who lives to ride? I think we ride for the comradery that comes form risking life and limbs in the company of like minded people. The brotherhood is hard to explain but once you experience it you get addicted to it and few things that can measure up to it the basic principle for me is once a mate alway a mate "do me right i'll do you better, do me wrong i'll do you worse" any other thoughs ..

Be careful of Rhino Leather, they supply wrong sizes of jackets and vest then expect you to pay postage for their dodgy goods.
The only way they admit their goods are faulty is if you threaten to go to see them in Sydney. Ruined Christmas presents for the Mrs then have the audacity they have reported my complaint to the authorities.
Its a pity they didn't think of their customers by admitting their sizes are wrong and that they were only thinking of their cash flow and not their customers.
Hope they do take legal action I still have the dodgy vest make a point of showing very body I ride with. If you don't want to be disappointed don't purchase from Rhino Leather.
Rhino Leather threatened legal action, here's hoping they carry out their threat so the whole thing can be made public through the media, I'm waiting. Every Internet "Rip Off" & "Scammers" should be named, shamed, and kicked of the net. And yes I have reported to and will be reported to every agency that deals with net sales, fair trade, and anyone else I find that may be able to stop your dodgy sales.

Dear Members As discussed at the last Meeting, a 'Think Tank' was proposed in order to resolve the issues of Policy and Strategy for the MRAQ. All members and interested parties are invited to attend. I would like to see all of the Committee attend as this is vital to the ongoing success for MRAQ. The issues of HI VIZ and 0% BAC policies and strategys are paramount.
Date: 30th October 2011
Time: 10.00 am.
Venue: Brothers St Brendans Football Club Function Room Kookaburra Park Tramore Street ROCKLEA QLD 4106.

Hi all, On top of all the information from the ACRS conference, here is something else to ponder – and one way to potentially set some of the agenda. This is an update on a new initiative, known as “33900”, or the Australian Road Safety Collaboration. This is a non-government collaboration that has been developing over the past few months, primarily to work on Australian ideas for the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety. The AMC has been invited to be part of the leadership group of the collaboration, and Ray Newland and I attended a meeting in Melbourne on the afternoon following the ACRS conference. This was a particularly interesting gathering; free of the constraints that perhaps exist when government representatives are setting the agenda! One of the first things I learned was that it’s not only motorcycle groups that are disappointed with the National Road Safety Strategy – many other people and organisations had spent a lot of time on detailed submissions; little of which was reflected in the final document.

ACTION - Right now, is the time to write to your local Roads Minister (NOT the roads authority - we have taken this via the political route due to failure of the administrative route) - send 'em a copy of Two Wheels and point to your local Road Rules - if you'd like me to draft the content, along with your local legislative references, ask. More than happy to do that. Each jurisdiction is different. - however, this may not be necessary, there’s enough public embarrassment in Two Wheels to motivate them. I just favour making sure with a coup de grâce. - it may be worth the ink to write and ask that the Road Rules reference Consumer Protection Notice No.9, rather than directly reference AS/NZS 1698, due to the impending review of the mandatory standard. (b) Bradbury has flagged a review of the mandatory Standard. (“sale” laws) COMMENT: We have to be clear at this point. There are TWO things here. Follow carefully. (i) The VOLUNTARY Standard is "any Standard published by SAI Global" - effectively any Standard produced by Standards Australia. - this is all a bit murky. When Standards Australia sold off its QAS division into SAI Global, SAI Global emerged with a contract to publish and distribute all Standards produced by Standards Australia. - SAI Global and Standards Australia have refused to allow publication of the agreement for this, claiming “commercial-in-confidence”. - end result is that SAI Global is now “the publisher” – a word used in legislation and it creates confusion.

This is passed on to UMC Via AMC Delegates mail list. It is from NSW MCC Every body should buy a copy of the Two Wheels mag in question and get a letter off to the QLD transport minister. Cheers
Camel Update I will assume that everyone has done their homework - to read and understand the helmets article in the current (September) Two Wheels magazine (mono-wheeling Street Triple on cover). I can assure you that the roads authorities have. Don’t get left behind. (1) AMC has received a response from David Bradbury, Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer. (a) Bradbury has approached Anthony Albanese, as Federal Minister for Infrastructure and Transport over the varying helmet laws for "use" in different States and Territories. COMMENT: Albo sits as Chair of ATC, the Australian Transport Council - www.atcouncil.gov.au Please familiarise yourself with who’s who in the zoo and the function of ATC. - This is the desired outcome, as the issue now gets punched downwards to each State via ATC and bypasses Austroads, who have achieved nothing on this issue. - Grant Delahoy (MRA Vic) and I went to see Vicroads and followed that up with Dr. Dale Andrea (Vicroads), who had been appointed by Austroads to handle issues surrounding helmets. - Austroads wanted to use the NSW Road Rules as the model for all States and Territories. - We have presented sound policy objections and Austroads appears bewildered by it all.
