............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................I believe that this is the survey (see below) that is being used by the QLD Government as the basis of the evidence for imposing the lower alcohol limits for motorcyclists and other changes. If they really wanted a full set of results they would send the survey info out to every rider in QLD but it seems once again that it will be kept secret from us so the result can be manipulated. However we now know about it and should use it to our advantage by sending it to everybody that we know and get them to fill it out in a manner that will not provide them with the anticipated results. When filling it out participants should read the question carefully to ensure they answer the correct way as the surveyors typically switch the way a question is asked and answered when the area is the main one that they are polling to get a planned result. Watch those based around alcohol and riding attitude because these are the only ones that they are interested in using, most of the others are all smoke and mirrors. Even though they will not use most of the questions in the results all should be answered to prevent them from discounting the input as incomplete. It would be best to advice people to fill in the two area were you can have a say with statements like - that any further campaigns should focus on helping riders not negative alienation. It is vital the as many as possible fill out the survey and state their belief in the current rules so that it will not be so easy to ignore the result. There is another survey in which we should all be taking part:Queensland Motorcyclists SurveyARTD Consultants has been contracted by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads to do a research project to find out what motorcyclists think about motorcycling in Queensland. The project is also trying to understand patterns in the fatal crash rate for Queensland motorcyclists.
All your answers are anonymous. No responses can be associated with you.
This survey is your chance to tell us what it is really like to be a motorcyclist in Queensland. You can access the survey on an open link and that does not close until sometime in August.
