"Sounds like a great idea. Any thoughts on start time and cost etc?"
Hi Gazza . The ride is on mate . If you look in the FLYERS section on this site you will find the times . $15 a bike ,scooter ,trike ,road bike or car. If you look in our web site above in my former post there is greater detail of the ride. Some members of the VTX club are coming and there mates ffom the gold coast area. If you have the time on the 12th feb would be good to see you or any one else on the ride. As i posted before there is bike judging on after lunch at the pub.
Cheers Ray

HI Batman: How is it goin mate. Northside start hey.I will have a talk to Steve the QLD co-ordinator and suggest this for our next ride . We went this way with regards to the most devasted area which i'm sure you would have to agree. Should be a good day so if you can make it would be glad to meet up. I think i have the leed out role once again, but we are after a couple of scout riders to make sure everyone follows through. Any help in this are is appreciated.

Cheers Ray

Thanks for the support mate. Most welcome on the day. If you guys can get a few mates together and ride over this will be fantastic. As i said back to Batman i will talk to our co-ordinator to see how this one goes and maybe organize another ride for the northside. area . He actually bumped into our esteemed premier(no affiliation here to any party ) up there at Murphy's crk on the weekend and told her of the ride and she and the wallopers gave it the thumbs up.
Cheers Ray

Ok, Batman, here is the low down for the ride I have organised. All funds, every dollar and cent and a lot of my own money will be donated to the Murphy Creeks and Grantham Flood relief fund. Itt will be paid directly into the NAB bank account for the fund %50 allocated to Murrphy Creek flood affected people and %50 allocated to the Grantham Flood affected people. The cordinators of this fund is can be viewed on this site, http://www.granthamfloodsupport.com/ , if you feel that this is a undeseringg site that is your choice. Thanks for viewing and comenting on Rays Thread. Further to your comments my Son had been displaced from his place of work since the 20 of december, due to rising flood waters in the Dalby region. he applied for the $700 (tested) for wages relief and was denied. Not because he was in a hi or lo paying job, it was because he lives in the GC and (shares a unit with 4 other people) the GC was not affected by floods. So I have some inkling of the pain and suffering some people are goin through. We housed a girl for two weeks who lived in Murphy's creek and four 4 days was not able to contact her mother. her house has gone. I think every one in the area know of someone who has been affected in some way or another. I cant speak for the insurance companies, I'm only trying to do right thing. Sorry
